What do I do?
I'm a specialist at building, managing and improving international sales distribution networks. I increase and improve your geographical coverage resulting in more sales revenue. I also improve efficiency thereby increasing profit. My work is focused, but not limited, to these three areas:
Market Entry
A full blown market entry plan and implementation to a remote region. Identify and onboard distribution partners including contracts and partner business plans.
Market Expansion
For many reasons, a distribution network can remain incomplete. This is revenue left on the table. Similar to market entry, but focused on particular countries/markets
Improvement
With many years developing sales tactics, building and managing sales teams, I help sales leaders improve what they currently do to be more effective in a remote region. Think pricing, training, marcom, contracts, processes etc.
How do I help?
As a freelance consultant, my clients engage me from between 3 and 12 months either full time or part time. I'm an additional, temporary, resource to complement your current team. Once engaged, I work with you to identify the core challenge and then agree a set of desired outcomes. With decades of experience I can work and make decisions quickly and effectively. Over my career I have built several distribution networks from scratch resulting in hundreds of prospects identified, hundreds of contracts negotiations, hundreds of joint business plans and hundreds of distributor sales staff trained. My background is in electronics, but I'm product/market neutral as I focus on business development rather than product selling. My work is all about incremental growth to your business, so payback is measured in weeks or months.
